Subject: Operation S.O.S. (Save Our Streams) Touby Run Stream Clean up – meet at 400 North Main Tuesday, September 24th at 5:00 p.m.

Mansfield, Ohio – Mansfield Mayor Tim Theaker, is pleased to announce as a part of the City of Mansfield’s Stream Outreach Program, the 2nd Operation S.O.S. (Save our Streams) for the year 2013.>

Litter, debris, and illegal dumping are ongoing problems. Litter and debris can stop water flow in our storm drains and cause flooding. This same litter and debris can enter into the storm drains thereby entering our streams and affecting our water quality. This same accumulation of litter and debris reflects to visitors just how much pride we have in our community.

We invite area residents, groups, and organizations to meet us at the parking lot in front of 400 North Main Street (entrance via of old Ohio Brass Building parking lot) on, Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. to clean up Touby Run.

Volunteers need to wear durable work gloves and waterproof boots. Our office will provide collection bags and disposal of the litter and debris collected.
